How to disable Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration ( IE ESC ) on Windows Server 2008/2008 R2

Issue:

Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration ( IE ESC ) prevents Webex from loading and stops downloads from starting. Cannot connect to the Webex website. Cannot download files from Internet.

Solution:

To Disable Windows Enhanced Security in Windows Server 2008/2008 R2

Open the Server Manager

Start -> Server Manager

Start -> Administrative Tools -> Server Manager

Taskbar -> Server Manager

In the right window pane scroll to the Security Information section

Click Configure IE ESC on the far right

Select Off for both Administrators and Users

Click OK

Restart Internet Explorer for changes to take effect
